Impact Report
Short Outcomes
Club Members: Every year, we like to pay attention to the growth of club since we did start out with 5 members. As of now we have 15 committed girls on our team, mostly made up of hardworking seniors, juniors and a sprinkle of freshmen. This year was a little harder to get our club name out there, but we still managed to get new girls to join. For the following years, we know we have amazing members to continue what we started. The bond between the girls is stronger than ever, with the dedication in our team, we know our club will continue to grow and to strive for the best.
Involvement in School Activities: Since the beginning of quarantine, it's been hard for students to transition into an online school environment. Since students cannot attend the usual high school events to get their minds off homework, we have participated and promoted monthly game nights. Students had various options to choose from, our games had included prizes to help boost a competitive and fun environment. We have seen an increase on actual participation in students, even making jokes with the host and inviting more to come an join. Although these game nights aren´t the same to our football pink game, we hope to have helped students to appreciate and enjoy the little things thrown on by our clubs.

Long Term Outcomes
By the year 2030, the state of California wants 75% of students to be proficient in at least two languages, currently students have met the 40% mark in two languages other than english. This important since it can have many benefits when it comes to knowing more than one language and California is filled with such diverse communities.
The way our club helps spread the word is every year we visit local middle schools to give a presentation for the incoming freshmen. Our presentation is focused on high school expectations and inform them on the various opportunities to help them excel throughout their high school career. This where we emphasize the opportunity to receive the California State Seal of Biliteracy. The state seal is awarded to students who have been recognized to study and be proficient in two languages. The seal is placed on the student's diploma and transcript documents. We hope this will help students to perform well in their required english and foreign language classes. |
