Impact Report
Short Outcomes
Club Members: Every year, we like to pay attention to the growth of the club since we did start with 5 members. As of now, we have 15 committed girls on our team, mostly made up of hardworking seniors, juniors, and a sprinkle of freshmen. This year was a little harder to get our club name out there, but we still managed to get new girls to join. For the following years, we know we have amazing members to continue what we started. The bond between the girls is stronger than ever, with the dedication of our team, we know our club will continue to grow and strive for the best.

Involvement in School Activities: After coming back from quarantine, it's been hard for students to transition from an online school to an in-person environment. Since students were now used to attending the virtual high school and being at their homes all day, we have been hosting many activities for students to enjoy and to get comfortable around the school. Students had various options to choose from, our games and destressing activities that included prizes to help boost a competitive and fun environment. We have seen an increase in actual participation in students, from making jokes to inviting more to come to join. Although these after-school activities aren´t the same as our football pink game, we hope to have helped students to appreciate and enjoy the little things thrown on by our clubs.
Cleaning our enviroment: We look after the enviroment around the school not only for safety reasons but because we want the students to feel as comfortable as possible in the place where they spend most of their time. We make sure that the areas inside and around our school are kept clean so that the students can enjoy the facilities and communal areas the school offers. We also work with other clubs fron trah pickups for a better enviroment in the community and promote it so that more people join for a better place.
Long Term Outcomes
By the year 2030, the state of California wants 75% of students to be proficient in at least two languages, currently students have met the 40% mark in two languages other than english. This important since it can have many benefits when it comes to knowing more than one language and California is filled with such diverse communities.
The way our club helps spread the word is every year we visit local middle schools to give a presentation for the incoming freshmen. Our presentation is focused on high school expectations and inform them on the various opportunities to help them excel throughout their high school career. This where we emphasize the opportunity to receive the California State Seal of Biliteracy. The state seal is awarded to students who have been recognized to study and be proficient in two languages. The seal is placed on the student's diploma and transcript documents. We hope this will help students to perform well in their required english and foreign language classes. |

Our team is also working for a cleaner environment by reducing plastic waste at our school. We are working on installing water dispensers so purified water is available for students and staff, and to prevent the accumulation of more plastic in the oceans. We also found that analyzed data from the National Library of Medicine shows that more than half of U.S. students aren’t adequately hydrated, and almost a quarter of children never drink plain water, which poses a health concern, but with this plan, we promote a healthier hydrating habit that will improve their lifestyle by 80%.
